Oana Stoica – Ceramics Artist from Romania
With a deep love for form, detail, and the alchemy of fire and clay, I create handmade ceramics that are both poetic and practical. As a handmade ceramics artist in Romania, I aim to craft objects that enrich daily rituals through quiet beauty and tactile charm.
I studied at the Faculty of Decorative Arts and Design in Bucharest, and my work reflects a blend of classical forms and natural, unexpected textures. In my signature White collection, I reimagine traditional tea sets using porcelain branches and surfaces that invite attention and touch. Every piece is handmade—from first sketch to final firing—with no molds, no repeats.
Fragility, subtle textures, and the unpredictable surprises of the kiln are part of my creative process. As I often say, “Ceramics gives me results I can’t always predict—it responds to you, but it has its own will.”
In my studio, I shape cups, ornaments, sculptures, and custom pieces that often echo botanical forms. Whether it’s a delicate teapot or a garden ornament, each object carries a quiet sense of presence and story.
My ceramics have been featured at Romanian Design Week and Made in RO, and are now part of homes across the world that value craft and meaning. With every object, I hope to invite stillness, curiosity, and connection to the everyday.
Over the years, my work has been part of exhibitions, galleries, and creative spaces both in the country and abroad. As a handmade ceramics artist from Romania, I strive to create pieces that speak through form, texture, and quiet emotion. Each experience has shaped my journey — one rooted in curiosity, craftsmanship, and a deep connection to the materials I work with.
My pieces are now part of personal collections around the world, valued for their presence, energy, and timeless aesthetic.
