Meet Oana

With a deep love for form, detail, and the alchemy of fire and clay, I create handmade ceramics that feel both poetic and practical. I graduated from the Faculty of Decorative Arts and Design in Bucharest, and my work is all about enriching daily life—not just through function, but through quiet beauty.

My pieces blend utility with art. I often combine classic shapes with natural, surprising details. In my White collection, for example, I reimagine traditional tea sets using porcelain branches and textures that invite touch and attention.

With a background in sociology, I see ceramics not just as objects, but as vessels of meaning—shaped by touch, culture, and memory. My studies influence how I think about form and function, and how handmade pieces can create quiet, shared rituals.

Each object is fully handmade—from first sketch to final firing—without molds or repeats.
I embrace fragility and imperfection. The textures, the soft palette, and the surprises from the kiln are all part of my creative voice. As I often say, “Ceramics gives me results I can’t always predict—it responds to you, but it has its own will.”

Each piece carries a trace of the hand, a moment of stillness made solid. I believe that in a fast-paced world, holding something slowly made—something imperfect and alive—can restore a sense of connection, presence, and quiet joy.

In my studio, I shape cups, ornaments, and delicate sculptures that often echo botanical forms. Whether it’s a tea set or a piece for the garden, I try to infuse every object with calm and curiosity.
My handmade ceramics have been shown at Romanian Design Week and Made in RO, and now live in homes from all around the world, that value story and craft. I hope my work invites you to slow down, connect, and find beauty in the everyday.
